The former Mercator Senior Fellow acted as climate and finance expert within the Obama administration and knows what opportunities "sustainable finance" can offer, for example in the form of sustainable investments.

John E. Morton was Senior Director for Energy and Climate Change in the Barack Obama's White House, responsible for coordinating policies and strategies for sustainable financial investments. As part of our Mercator Fellowship program, he conducted research at the Leipzig Graduate School of Management (HHL) in 2017/18 on the mobilization of private capital for global climate protection.
