We have opened the call for application for the next round of our alumnae careerbuilding programme Mercatora.

Since 2017, Mercatora has given alumnae of Stiftung Mercator the opportunity to attend a career-building program with direct relevance and personal impact that helped build a strong Women’s Network. The programme is designed to encourage our alumnae in their career and personal development as well as strengthen them in the long term through a specific programme curriculum and a support network of like-minded female peers.

We are pleased to announce the fourth edition of our careerbuilding programme "Mercatora"! We invite early and mid-career professionals among our alumnae from all sectors with at least 3-5 years of work and management experience to apply! The programme will benefit alumnae from all sectors, particularly if

  • they have alreeady reached a leadership level of responsibility within their profession/organization

  • are seeking to enhance their leadership skills and advance in their career

  • can commit to an intense learning and exchange experience within a small group of peers throughout the program year.

The application deadline is May 30, 2021.

The programme will be offered in English for the first time to make it accessible to a wider and more diverse group of Mercator alumnae! Due to the current corona pandemic, we have adapted our three-part seminar series and will offer them as digital seminar modules. However, we aim to realize an onsite-meeting Germany in 2022 if circumstances allow.

  • Digital Module I: Thursday, September 16th - Saturday, September 18, 2021 |  Strategic Career Building and Professional Networking
  • Digital Module II: Thursday, December 9th – Saturday, December 11th, 2021| Gender Competency, Unconscious Bias and Leadership Skills
  • Digital Module III: Thursday, February 10th – Saturday, February 12, 2022 | Courage and Leadership, Resilience and Lifetime-Management
