At the UpdateDeutschland hackathon, alumnus Said Haider competed to solve a problem for which he himself has had fine antennae since childhood: discrimination. His chatbot Meta is designed to help those affected and make the problem visible.

During his fellowship at the Akademie für Islam in WIssenschaft und Gesellschaft (AIWG, Academy for Islam in Science and Society), funded by Stiftung Mercator, the lawyer was already tinkering with the idea of a digital form of anti-discrimination counseling. And thus got to know and appreciate the format of hackathons. He told us about his experience at UpdateDeutschland and why he developed Meta.
