The Global Solutions Initiative is calling for applications for its "Young Global Changers Recoupling Award 2022"! Successful applicants are invited to Berlin to present their projects to a high-level jury at the Global Solutions Summit 2022. The application deadline is January 10, 2022.

Over the last four decades, we have been witnessing significant economic growth in most parts of the world. At the same time, we are seeing a rise in inequality, an exacerbating climate crisis and a rising sense of disempowerment. This trend can be described as the decoupling of economic prosperity from social prosperity and environmental sustainability. The Global Solutions Initiative aims to address this trend by generating proposals to better align economic and political activities with environmental sustainability and social prosperity.

To recognize and reward young changemakers from all over the world, the Global Solutions Initiative has newly created the “Young Global Changers Recoupling Awards”. The program aims to identify the ten most inspiring projects which contribute towards recoupling social, environmental, and economic prosperity. The creators of the most promising projects will be invited to present them to a high-level jury at the Global Solutions Summit 2022 on March 28-29, 2022, in Berlin. Three of those finalists will be awarded monetary prizes.

Application for the Young Global Changers Recoupling Award is open via a dedicated website now until January 10,2022!

To be successful, projects must be guided by a people-centric approach, one that puts the needs and voices of their stakeholders, customers, workers and communities at the center. Another important field of impact is the natural environment. This may include projects that promote avenues towardscarbon neutrality or towards circular modes of production and consumption. The jury will also be looking for particularly novel, unique, and original approaches or projects that address specific issues which have previously been neglected.

The Global Solutions Initiative is a global think tank network that develops policy recommendations for action on the most pressing issues of our time, as addressed by the G20, G7 and other global governance forums.
