WHO WE ARE
Stiftung Mercator has always been committed to exchange, encounters and joint learning. What began with language and exchange programmes for young people has developed over the years into a wide range of training opportunities for young professionals and innovative fellowship formats. This gave rise to a lively alumni network of Stiftung Mercator - and ultimately the MercatorGlobe Community.
Today, the MercatorGlobe Community brings together over 2,000 committed individuals - including former scholarship holders and fellows, current and former partners and friends of the foundation. They all share a common goal: to help shape social change and advocate for the Foundation's values and issues.
The community is much more than a traditional alumni network. Through a digital platform and personal formats, it promotes professional exchange, enables new collaborations and creates space for encounters and cooperation. In this way, the strategic goal of network building is realised in a lively way - inclusive, diverse and cross-generational.
